Bathrooms, appliances, sinks and taps distributor, PJH, has donated an impressive £5,000 to ‘NHS Charities Together’, thanks to its staff completing its ‘Wellbeing Team Challenge’ which tasked employees to collectively travel a Globe Union-spanning 21,020 miles from walking, cycling, running, swimming, and kayaking.
The ‘Wellbeing Team Challenge’, organised by PJH, asked its employees to travel the world together, ‘virtually’ by any self-powered wellbeing activity in just 60 days. And like the company’s strapline ‘together we’re better’, Team PJH collectively covered 21,020 miles, which is a distance equivalent to starting and finishing in the UK having visited some of parent company, Globe Union’s many sites – such as Mexico, Montreal, Germany, Shenzhen China and Taiwan.
PJH has said the team challenge, which ran throughout the summer, was designed to promote wellbeing within the company, a subject PJH is keen to promote following the ever-present COVID-19 pandemic. Employees shared photos throughout the challenge, which not only highlighted efforts and progress, but brought a well-needed social aspect to the challenge and a real team feeling, as the event travelled forward towards success.
Richard George, CEO, PJH, speaking about challenge, said: “Good mental and physical health is extremely important, and the Wellbeing Team Challenge was designed to bring everyone that bit closer together and promote activities that foster a sense of wellbeing. The success of this challenge proves just how close we are as a team, and the accompanying £5,000 raised for NHS Charities Together is a vote of thanks from us all for the incredible work by the NHS throughout this pandemic.”
Of the 21,020 miles achieved, 126 PJH staff collectively clocked up an average of 350 miles per day from 4,093 activities.

From the design scheme, materials used and products specified through to the final fit-out installation, the SBID Awards champion design standards across the supply chain in the design, procurement and execution of outstanding interiors.
Each finalist has been evaluated by industry-leading experts for functionality, technical merit, creative delivery and ability to inspire; highlighting the value that expert interior design and specialist craftmanship can bring to businesses, homes and society as a whole.
“We are honoured that our two entries have been selected named finalist of the SBID awards as the best product designs of the year. Such recognition puts Acquabella at the forefront of design. A fact that we have been pursuing since our early beginnings and, above all, is further gratification for the Acquabella team” says Acquabella’s CEO Juan Jose Benavent.
To complete the final stage of the judging process, the public are now invited to vote for their favourite projects at www.sbidawards.com. Accounting for an influential 30% of the results, the ultimate end-users of design have the final say in which entries go on to receive a prestigious SBID Award. To show your support for Acquabella and cast your votes for their shortlisted entries, Opal Quiz and Flow Zero.

That’s why the Armani / Roca Baia collection was the perfect fit for our showroom. We can’t wait to showcase this remarkable collaboration to our customers”.
The Armani / Roca Baia collection
The aesthetic intentionally references the past but the retro styling has been interpreted in a modern manner and incorporates avant-garde technology. The result is a new, versatile bathroom collection, which manages to be both contemporary and timeless, in accordance with Giorgio Armani’s design philosophy.
New countertop & over-countertop washbasins
A wide range of countertop and over-countertop washbasins offers endless combinations of brassware to suit every style of bathroom. New metallic finishes have been introduced in two luxurious shades – matte gold and dark metallic. The resulting shagreen matte gold and shagreen dark metallic adds a touch of unusual elegance. The basin options now also include a new, stylish pedestal model, which complements the rest of the collection and can be fitted with integrated metal towel rails in various finishes.
Brassware
The range also includes a new line of classically inspired brassware which is showcased to full effect in the IPM showroom: deck-mounted and built-in basin faucets, a thermostatic shower column faucet and a thermostatic freestanding bathtub faucet. These are all available in three finishes: greige, brushed steel and chrome.
One of the unique features of this brassware range is that, in spite of its classical design, it is equipped with innovative technology; thermostatic technology has been incorporated into the freestanding retro-inspired bath filler and the retro-look shower column, delivering thoroughly modern efficiency.

Furniture & Built-in Storage Options
The highlight of the collection is an elegant piece of furniture with built in storage, Surfex solid surface washbasin and an integrated metal towel rail, providing maximum functionality, while exuding a sense of comfort and convenience. Available both in off-white lacquered wood and greige oak-veneered wood, this piece will instantly endow any bathroom with an undeniably luxurious touch.
Freestanding Bathtub
To complement the beauty of this iconic piece, the freestanding bathtub (pictured top) also has a retro look, making it a perfect focal piece for any bathroom – as such it is one of the centrepieces of the new IPM showroom display. Updated with a contemporary appearance and paying special attention to ergonomics and comfort, the lines of this bathtub are soft and sinuous. It is also available in an elegant version embellished with four metal handles in three finishes – greige, brushed steel and chrome. These handles are beautiful and functional details which match the rest of the collection.
Shower Tray
The importance of flexibility is evident in the shower tray, which comes in an extra-fine resin in a multitude of sizes ranging from 1200 x 800mm up to 1600 x 1000mm, which are presented in a unique collection of textures and finishes.
WC’s
A new line of WCs, both wall-hung and close-coupled, is now included in the collection to meet every design requirement. These are complemented with advanced technological electronic flush plates that feature unique glass finishes.
The wide-ranging collection also includes a line of accessories that incorporates towel racks and a wall mirror, both with rounded metallic profiles in various finishes. These recall the same design characteristics as the rest of the collection.
Showroom now open
The IPM team of specialists expertly manage each project providing an exceptionally high standard of service from conception to completion.

Scavolini’s new Jeometrica collection was created in collaboration with world-renowned designer Luca Nichetto. An excellent example of Scavolini’s holistic approach to design with stylish solutions for the kitchen, living room and bathroom, Jeometrica is heavily influenced by three iconic 20th century designs: Ellsworth Kelly’s Sculpture for a Large Wall, Gio Ponti’s multifunctional wall units and Donald Judd’s three-dimensional structures. While Nichetto’s nod to the past informs the design of Jeometrica, Scavolini’s manufacturing expertise brings the collection bang up to date.
Defining features include the laminate wall panel (see bathroom, above), which is available in three shapes: rectangular, teardrop and a circle (two sizes). Flexibility is a key feature of the wall panel, and this is made possible by a series of holes onto which shelves, containers and small accessories can be attached and moved as required. The bathroom shown features a pair of round wall panels in Rosso Tegola laminate (left) and rectangular wall panels in Coal Grey laminate (right).
Another distinctive feature of the Jeometrica collection is the curved tubular handle, which instantly transforms a functional piece of furniture into a decorative statement. Its beauty is brilliantly demonstrated in this living room setting (see image, above) where the curved handle sweeps across the front of the cabinet doors, adding movement to the scheme.
To create a cohesive feel across the collection, all cabinet doors are 29mm deep and available in a choice of lacquer, veneer, textured melamine or glass. Moreover, all cabinet fronts feature an aluminium frame available in white, Anthracite and Titanium.
Nichetto’s vision is that homeowners have fun with the various finishes, mixing and matching to add depth and personality to their space.
To complete the Jeometrica collection, Nichetto has designed a range of furniture including chairs, stools and tables.

Adding a touch of drama, Flyte is newly available in Waterworks’ Matte Black finish. Matte black is a trend that can be seen elsewhere in the design world, from shine-free sports cars to matte-black digital cameras. The dark finish gives each element a truly modern sensibility – ideal for punctuating a contemporary space.
To create the matte black finish, Waterworks starts with a specially primed, solid brass base to which they then apply a pure black powder coat which is then locked in with high heat to create this silky-matte finish with cool graphic impact.
The collection includes hardware that adds simple utility to the modern bath while perfectly complementing Flyte fittings.

Roca’s very latest innovation in shower toilets is the In-Wash® with In-Tank® – the cistern is not needed as the water tank is integrated into the WC.
Integrated Tank
The In-Wash® In-Tank® toilet meets customer requirements and provides technology and design, without compromising on its main function: bringing a total hygiene experience to the WC.
The Soft Air injection system propels water towards the upper section of the bowl providing a full, effective and quiet flush. Its two simultaneous water outlets, tornado and cascade, guarantee a stronger flow with minimum water consumption. The entire bowl is thoroughly cleaned thanks to the Rimless Vortex design that removes the inner rim and provides a 360º flush.
Hygienic technology
The state-of-the-art technology and design of In-Tank® is combined with the in-built hygiene solutions if Roca’s In-Wash®. The WC washes with water and features a front and rear wash to guarantee the full hygiene experience.
The In-Wash® nozzle can be adjusted to reach the most delicate areas thanks to its oscillating massage, also providing gentle drying. To guarantee its total disinfection, the removable nozzle cleans itself before and after each use and includes an extractable tip that can be easily removed for more in-depth cleaning.
User-friendly
As in other Roca Smart Toilets, the remote control and the side panel are very intuitive and allow the adjustment of the water and air temperature, as well as the position of the nozzle. This WC with integrated cistern also features two push buttons to opt for a full or a partial flush, for greater water savings. In the event of a power failure, this Smart Toilet guarantees up to two full flushes by using the side button. Available in wall-hung and floor standing versions, the In-Wash with In-Tank features SOFT AIR® technology which ensures optimal flushing no matter the water pressure.
Easy cleaning
The bowl of the In-Wash® with In-Tank® features the new Supraglaze enamel, exclusive to Roca, which allows any residue to slide right off and hinders the build-up of dirt. A third layer that, applied on top of the existing enamel, provides a totally waterproof, shiny and easy-to-clean surface, maintaining the excellent performance of traditional enamels in terms of durability and hygiene.
Easy to install
Offering a hassle-free installation and easy maintenance, In-Wash® In-Tank® does not require a frame and can be therefore installed wherever you want. Without a separate conventional cistern or built-in installation system, the WC offers better use of space within the bathroom and greater design freedom. For installers, fitting the In-Wash with In-Tank is simplified as it just requires a water outlet and a conventional power connection.
“We are incredibly excited to be launching the In-Wash® with In-Tank®,” comments David Bromell, Head of Marketing at Roca. “The individual technologies offer so much in their own right, but by combining them, we’ve been able to take a significant step forward in the smart toilet category. In-Wash® with In-Tank® furthers our vision of genuine innovation, with intuitive and thoughtful use of technology, to deliver a product with exceptional functionality, design and convenience.”
