Duravit AG has appointed Olaf Kanig as its new chief financial officer (CFO), following the departure of Martin Winkle from the company’s Executive Board.
Winkle (pictured below) left the board on September 30 at his own request, and by mutual agreement with the Supervisory Board as he moves on to new professional opportunities.
He will remain with Duravit in a supervisory capacity until the end of the year, supporting the company during the transition and handover process.
Kanig (pictured top) takes over the role of CFO on October 1st. A graduate in industrial engineering, he brings extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles at international companies. Prior to becoming self-employed, he served, among other positions, as chief financial officer/Group CFO at ZIEHL-ABEGG SE.
Gregor Greinert, chairman of the supervisory board of Duravit AG, said: “We are pleased to have Olaf Kanig, an experienced professional, join the Duravit Executive Board. His expertise and career to date make him an excellent choice for this position of responsibility. Especially in such economically challenging times, Olaf Kanig stands for financial stability, reliability, and a clear course of action. We are confident that he will provide important impetus for the further development of the Duravit Group.”
Greinert also thanked Winkle for his contribution to the company: “Martin Winkle has supported the Duravit Group’s growth over the past years with great expertise and dedication. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for his trusted collaboration and wish him all the best and every success in his professional and personal future.”
